Raised in a highly political family, Jane has spent many years of her life engaged in action for social change. Traditional banner making is an art form that has more recently been neglected in favour of digitally produced products.

Many of Jane’s earlier banners were created in collaboration with community groups and organisations, alongside her long standing  creative partner, Margaret Murray, Jane conducts in-depth research to design textile banners that address and reflect pressing social issues. Together, they combine artistic craftsmanship with social commentary to produce impactful, visually compelling works.
